Ben Browne-Clayton

Mr. Browne-Clayton brings over 30 years’ pan-European landlord and tenant side real estate experience to The Valesco Group’s Investment Committee, covering both mainstream sectors and a range of alternative asset classes. His focus is on green real estate initiatives and is an ESG thought leader. Previously, Mr. Browne-Clayton was Head of Real Estate at Oaktree Capital Management’s pan European NPL asset management platform, Sabal Financial Europe, a role that encompassed all of the group’s real estate activities including underwriting, acquisition, asset management and disposition. He was responsible for circa €5.5bn of assets under management. Mr. Browne-Clayton was Fund Manager of the listed Westbury Property Fund and led the reverse takeover of the UK logistics company Eddie Stobart, becoming Group Property Director of combined FTSE250 listed Stobart Group. He qualified as a chartered surveyor whilst in Hiller Parker’s Fund Management department before moving to PRICOA Property Investment Management where he was Head of UK Transactions and Portfolio Manager of two funds, one UK focused and the other pan-European. Mr. Browne-Clayton holds a BA (Hons) in Economics & Economic History, an MA in Property Valuation & Law and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and the Investment Property Forum.
